Phase 1 - Caswell Hill Car Park - January 2024

Probably the most coldest week of the year so far, the team headed to Caswell Hill Car Park for an early morning start to begin Phase 1 of working together with Swansea Council.

For Gower Activities Centre, there were two 20'x8' Containers installed for storing equipment. To ensure the storage containers weren't too much of an eye sore for the locals and visitors we were approached to cover them.

Wooden Panels were made in set sizes after a site visits and meetings to ensure what we could do matched to what the clients required. The Panels were treated in Bee friendly paint and left to dry ready for install day. Materials for the remaining work that needed to be carried out on the day such as covering the doors were all prepped, cut to size and treated. As you may have guessed, Caswell Hill Car Park is on the hill as you head down to Caswell Beach so some levelling out needed to be done to make sure the area was safe to access. Decking was put in place on one entrance to step up off the mud and into the container. Once the ground has thawed out a bit more the other entrance side will be done with decking as well. Plans for Phase 2 at another location has commenced. Will have more news on that right here!

Businesses in Wales to recycle from
